Making the Call
Although, I had sent out my email almost 2 weeks ago, I never got a response. So I decided to call Spartanburg Regional Hospital and talk to Stacey Dulin who is in charge of the grants. Unfortunately, Spartanburg Regional Hospital does not do grants anymore and of course I got no grant. However, that is ok because I am going to send an email to the Greenville Hospital and maybe get grant from them instead.

Remember! never leave it to someone else to get back with you. You always need to follow up on something like this- don't wait for them!! I am sorry they are not giving the grant but hopefully Greenville will! A good plan is for you to make your request then follow it up a couple of days later thanking them for considering your request; after about a week send another email asking if they have been able to make a decision or if they need more information from you. This way they are reminded of your request and less likely to just let it slide.
